Our firm has a deep familiarity with the regulatory and business environment that companies must navigate in New York. Clients in the banking and financial sectors comprise the largest segment of our client base. We represent a wide range of clients in this area, including investment banks, investment advisors, hedge funds and private equity firms, as well as boards of public companies and start-ups. We have broad experience handling commercial disputes for these clients, and have litigated cases involving (among other things) acquisition and merger agreements, financing commitments, structured finance transactions, CDOs, RMBS, letters of credit, commercial contracts, repurchase agreements and secured transactions.
Many of our financial sector clients are based outside the United States, and we have particular experience representing non-US institutions in their litigation-related matters in New York. Likewise, as many of our US clients are incorporated in Delaware, we have frequently assisted them with matters pending in that state’s courts and involving Delaware law-based rights and duties.
