About Us

Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky LLP was founded in 1998 in New York City by three lawyers from Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and Kaye Scholer LLP. Since then, our firm has become one of the leading litigation boutiques in New York City, with an established record of successfully representing our clients in complex litigation matters, including trials, appeals and regulatory investigations.  We have shown time and again that we can successfully handle the most sophisticated disputes, and year after year, have developed a track record of wins and other successes for our clients.

In recent years, the legal marketplace has experienced a period of historic convergence and globalization. Many law firms have raced to open new offices around the world, or merge, to achieve growth and scale.  We purposefully pursued a different course. We believe that not every legal problem requires an army of lawyers or a follow-the-playbook approach.  We have preserved our focus on a team-based, personal, tailored and flexible approach to working with clients to achieve their goals. The result is an exceptional law firm with a singular focus on complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution, and proven results.

Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky is recommended as a leading law firm for New York General Commercial Litigation by Chambers & Partners, the preeminent source for independent lawyer and law firm rankings. The firm is also recognized by Best Lawyers and U.S. News & World Report's Best Law Firms in New York City Litigation - Securities, Tier 3. The firm was twice named by The National Law Journal to its Litigation Boutiques Hot List, a distinction recognizing ten “small but powerful” law firms in the country that achieved significant litigation victories for their clients.
