DOJ Moves To Block AmEx Case Consolidation In NY

 

“The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday urged a New York federal judge not to consolidate its antitrust suit against the merchant discount policies of American Express Co. with a related batch of private class actions, arguing that the government case must take precedence because of its implications for the public interest . . . American Express is represented by Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP, Boies Schiller & Flexner LLP and Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky LLP.”
