Ariel Cannon is a commercial litigator with broad experience in state and federal courts in New York and throughout the United States, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations. Her practice focuses on securities, employment and other commercial litigation matters.
Ariel’s practice includes a broad range of substantive issues and industries. She has represented clients in litigation and arbitration involving securities, intellectual property and licensing issues, as well as contract disputes. Recently, Ariel has devoted a substantial portion of her practice to employment litigation and counseling, including disputes concerning non-competes and other post-employment restrictions, compensation matters, claims for theft of confidential information and trade secrets, and employment discrimination.
Ariel began her legal career as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. During her years at Paul, Weiss, Ariel worked on several high-profile matters, including representation of a financial services company in litigation concerning mutual funds and a financial services employer in class action lawsuits.
